The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC says that the Presidential and National Assembly elections (Senate and House of Representatives members) will take place on the 20th February 2027 while Governorship and State Houses of Assembly Elections will take place on the 6th of March.
INEC Chairman, Professor Joash Amupitan who stated this in Abuja also presented the Timetable and Schedule of activities towards the successful preparation of the polls.
Professor Amupitan said the Governorship Election would not take place in Edo, Ekiti,Osun , Ondo, Anambra, Kogi, Bayelsa and Imo States.
