NAWOJ South West (B-Zone) Zonal Meeting Communique*
Communique issued at the end of NAWOJ Southwest Zonal Summit held in Ibadan, Oyo State, on Thursday 12th February 2026.
The summit, which was the fifth under the current administration of Comrade Adeola Adekunle Omosola was attended by Chairpersons and Secretaries from all South-west States and presided over by Vice Chairperson, Comrade Adeola Adekunle Omosola.
1. Discussing the theme “Women Driving Peace And Conflict Resolution In Nigeria: Her Voice, Her power”, NAWOJ B-Zone lauds the effort of Nawoj Oyo State Chapter, for hosting the ZEC meeting.
2. The association encourages women to make their wards available as the last phase of the Measles Rubella mop-up vaccination, continues in some States. Parents are encouraged to tap into the opportunity to safeguard their children and avoid life-threatening sicknesses. The Association also implores parents to make sure their female children receive the HPV vaccine.
3. The house decries insecurity in the country, particularly in Kwara and its environs, calling on the Federal government to intensify effort in preventing further extremist activities that have continued to claim lives and property in the State. Citizens were also alerted to incidences of house to house abductions, ongoing in some areas of the South West, asking for more security awareness campaigns by stakeholders, while urging residents to be security conscious.
4. Voters card collection. Nawoj B-zone advocates for more awareness over the ongoing Voters registration exercise, encouraging women of voting-age to register and collect their cards in preparation for the general elections in 2027.
The Summit concluded in Ibadan on a positive note, with the house praying for a peaceful nation and impactful engagement of all sectors and law-abiding citizens for a better Nigeria.
