Three persons have been reported dead in crisis erupting from the APC ward congress in Idanre, Idanre council area of Ondo State.
Positive FM gathered that the centre of violence was around Commercial road, Kehinde Onibata area of the town where a vehicle said to belong to one of the dead was also set on fire.
Schools and other commercial activities quickly shut down as the crisis escalated especially in the Irowo Quarters of Idanre.
The Ondo State Commissioner of Police , Mr Adebowale Lawal however led police to the scene also with Civil Defence Corps.
The police were seen assisting the injured and taking them to the hospital as normalcy gradually returned.
Reacting to this development, a former Governorship candidate, Mr Olugbenga Edema asked the people of the state to hold the ruling party, APC responsible for unleashing terror on the State and taking the state back to the inglorious days of party violence.
Mr Edema advised leadership of the APC to put its house in order demanding that Governor Lucky Ayedatiwa should act as the state chief security officer and ensure his party did not set the state on fire.
